Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center offers a variety of resources for both
students interested in pursuing their education via distance learning and faculty
who are teaching electronically delivered courses.
Additional online and regional programs are offered by Texas Tech University and Angelo State University.
State Authorization for Distance Education
For the institution to offer online or correspondence courses in a state other than
Texas, TTUHSC must first comply with that state's requirements. These requirements
differ from state to state. Refer to the map below to view the states for which TTUHSC
has state authorization, those that are pending authorization, and those for which
TTUHSC is not authorized to offer distance education.
||Authorized via National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA)
||Authorized for online programs only. Not authorized for programs that require clinicals
||Authorized for advanced degrees only. Not authorized for degrees leading to new licenses
TTUHSC has been approved by Texas to participate in the National Council for State
Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach
to state oversight of postsecondary distance education.
The student portal allows you as a distance learning student to manage your educational experience through
one website. WebRaider provides you these services: university announcements, personal
information updates, monitoring of your TTUHSC student account, student services,
and registration for each semester no matter where you are located.
