Nurse Family Partnership
The Nurse-Family Partnership is an evidence-based community health program that helps
transform the lives of vulnerable mothers pregnant with their first child. The nurse-client
relationship is focused on improving pregnancy outcomes, child health and development
and economic self sufficiency of first-time families. The Nurse-Family Partnership
program is free to income-eligible participants.
Nurses are highly trained in:
- Prenatal Care
- Labor and Delivery
- Community Resources
- Normal Child Growth/Development
- Family Dynamics
Each family served has a registered nurse home visitor 2 times per month on average
that continues until the child is 2 years old.

We provide services to 125 first-time moms here in the Potter/Randall county area
within a 50 mile radius. Every mother receives a nurse that gets to know them personally
and supports them as they have their first parenting experience for a period of 2+
years. When needed, we connect first-time mothers to needed community services to
promote individual growth and success along with providing health education and guidance.
Our vision is to plant a seed for a lifetime of change.
