Mission Statement

The mission of the offices of Budget and Institutional Research at Texas Tech University Health Science Center is to provide financial management and generate financial information necessary for sound decision-making through planning, oversight, and reporting in order to support faculty and staff in achieving the institutional mission.

Function Statements

The functions of the Budget Office include:

  • Prepare the biennial Legislative Appropriations Request (LAR)
  • Develop and administer the annual Operating Budget
  • Update and manage the Texas Tech Budget System for reporting accuracy
  • Prepare reports as required by various state agencies and TTUHSC administration
  • Analyze legislation relating to higher education issues
  • Maintain all appointment and financial data related to employees
