Circulation

  • General Collection materials circulate for two weeks and may be renewed twice for additional two week periods

  • Borrowed items may be renewed by phone (432-703-5036)
  • Overdue items may not be renewed
  • Maximum 12 items
  • Journals and Reference materials do not circulate
  • Overdue General Collection or Audiovisual items accrue fines of $.50 per day per item
  • Overdue Reserve items accrue fines at $.50 per hour per item
  • In an effort to help patrons avoid overdue fines, courtesy reminder notices will be sent via e-mail two days prior to the day the items are due. However, patrons are responsible for returning items on time, as well as any fines accrued, even if a notice was not received.
  • Lost items are billed at cost of the item, plus $25.00 handling fee, plus accrued fines. The Koha system already calculates the cost of the book along with the $25.00 handling fee. If the lost item is found, the patron should return it to the library and the previous transaction becomes a donation. The library does not refund money for lost items if and when they are found.
  • Borrowing privileges are suspended until all overdue items are returned and all fines are paid
  • For your protection, don't leave your personal possessions unattended. Due to liability risks, circulation staff will not be responsible for watching patron property. The patron is responsible for their own property.
