HSC employees are empowered to make a positive impact on our workplace. Our HSC—a program that is 100% employee-funded and administered. This initiative enables YOU to make contributions that go towards enhancing HSC facilities, patient care, employee development programs, research needs, and more.

Pledge cards for payroll deduction will be sent to all employees annually.  Payroll or credit card deductions may be submitted at any time.

  Welcome to the Campaign

The Our HSC employee campaign is a fundraising initiative that gives employees the chance to make a contribution to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.  The employee campaign is an exciting way to make a difference in our own facilities, providing for needs not covered by other sources of funding.  Employee-funded and employee-administered, it allows you to directly impact your workplace in a very positive way.

Your gift to the Our HSC employee campaign shows your pride in your campus and the great work that is done here. Our employees give so much of their time and talents every day to the university to make a difference in the lives of students, patients and our friends and neighbors across West Texas and around the world.  By choosing to donate to the employee campaign, you're saying that you believe so strongly in the work that we do here that you are willing to support it above and beyond your daily professional commitment by making a charitable gift as well.

Philanthropy is vital to the university's ability to maintain its role as a healthcare leader in West Texas, ensuring we can fulfill our commitment to education, research, and patient care.  The impact of your support will help our institution in so many ways.

Consider a gift to the Our HSC employee campaign.  You may submit a pledge form or make a gift at anytime throughout the year.

badgeholderAll employee campaign supporters will receive a donor identifiable badge holder.  Donations equivalent to one hour of monthly salary will receive an Our HSC Employee Campaign vehicle sunshade.  
Abilene Campaign                                                 

Beginning in 2016, TTUHSC Abilene employees contributed over $2,400 towards their Our HSC employee campaign.  This funding will be used to make a difference on the Abilene campus.

The Abilene employee committee now offers the opportunity to donate directly to a TECH ZEBO fund.  Donations will be used to build an outdoor relaxation area for all faculty and staff.  Consider supporting this venture or the Project Fund on the Abilene campus.

Amarillo Campaign

The TTUHSC Amarillo Our HSC employee campaign began in August 2016.  Employee donations and pledges in the amount of $6,289 will enhance the Amarillo campus.  

The Amarillo campaign committee elected to install multiple filtered water filling stations on their campus as their first funded project.  This stations will provide filtered drinking water for employees while reducing the carbon footprint.

A second project approved is the purchase of three mobile charging stations to which will be located in the Harrington Library, the School of Medicine and the SIM Center.  This proposal was submitted by Cheryl Simonsen.  Watch for those coming soon!

Lubbock Campaign

Since 2015, TTUHSC Lubbock employees have donated and pledged over $88,000 towards the Our HSC employee campaign, allowing us to provide many campus enhancements.  The campaign committee funded the inaugural project which is the picnic area located east of the main entrance.

In addition to the Lubbock Project Fund, the employee campaign committee is pleased to offer you the opportunity to donate to three programs:

  • The Lubbock Impact Free Clinic 
  • The Stroke & Aphasia Recovery (STAR) Program
  • The Center for Superheroes

Granted Projects

  • Secure Charging Station is located on the second floor of the Preston Smith Library of the Health Sciences.  Identified by Barbara Ballew.
  • SMART Capture White Board is available in meeting room 2B152.  The proposal was submitted by Stephanie Shippey.
  • Assessment Fees for Literacy Lubbock programs.  Proposed by Renee Witherspoon.
  • CPR/AED Certification Classes and True Colors Courses.  Submitted by Jennifer Martinez
  • Waiting Room Furniture for the offices of Employee Assistance Program (EAP).  Identified by Alan Korinek, Ph.D.
  • Filtered Water Bottle Filling Stations.  Submitted by Allison Kerin.
  • Team Strategies and Tools to Enhance Performance and Patient Safety (TeamSTEPPS) Master Training Course.  Proposed by Renee Bogschutz.
  • On-Demand Interpreting Stands to be located in Patient Services.  Submitted by Julie Lawson.
  • Roadside Safety Kits for TTUHSC and Correctional Managed Health Care fleets.  Identified by Marc Lopez.
  • Dermatology Medications for the Lubbock Impact Free Clinic.  Submitted by Brenda Watkins, M.D.

Permian Basin Campaign

The Our HSC employee campaign rolled out to the Odessa and Midland employees in August 2016.  The first campaign contributions and pledges totaled $14,266 which will be used for enhancements on the campus.  The committee elected to fund outdoor seating for the use of our employees as their initial project.

On June 25, 2017, the committee presented its first project award to Gladys Olivas, Kristi Ramirez, Elihu Arzate and Naomi Carrasco for their proposal to provide upgrades to the Odessa Community Garden.
