TTUHSC will host its second research and education conference focusing on women's health and sex and gender differences. This conference will highlight research and scholarships performed by faculty throughout the many schools and campuses of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

Faculty, residents and students from all schools and campuses are encouraged to submit research and scholarship works for this exciting symposium.

Keynote speakers include national women's health and sex and gender experts:

Saralyn Mark
Saralyn Mark, M.D.

Endocrinologist, geriatrician, women's health specialist and president of Solamed Solutions is a pioneer in the field of women's health. As author of Stellar Medicine, she brings her vast knowledge from her work with the Health and Human Services Office on Women's Health, NASA, Yale and Kings College-London to the forefront of sex-and gender-based medicine.

Virginia Miller
Virginia M. Miller, Ph.D.

Professor of physiology and surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She focuses on two conditions specific to women: preeclampsia of pregnancy and menopause. She studies sex steroid hormones and how they affect the brain, heart and kidneys for both men and women.
