CPRIT Funding Opportunities

The CPRIT Application Receipt System (CARS) opened to receive applications for the following funding opportunities on May 15, 2014. Applications are due on June 26, 2014 at 3 p.m. CT.

Revised Requests for Applications (RFAs) were posted on May 15th. The changes include the following clarification for projects proposing clinical trials.

Applications that have a clinical trial as the main focus of the proposed project must submit a Clinical Trial Plan via email, in PDF format, to the CPRIT HelpDesk at In this document, include the clinical trial protocol, informed consent document, and a letter of drug availability from the sponsor if the trial is using an investigational drug. CPRIT may require IRB approval prior to the initiation of funding. The Clinical Trial Plan will be appended to the original application, posted in CARS, and reviewed by CPRIT Scientific Research Program Peer Review panel members.
