EMS External Users

External Users

Though we pride ourselves in serving all schools or programs within the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), we welcome the opportunity to serve our community. External users are expected to comply with our policies and procedures. Requests must be submitted utilizing the Reservation Form. Understand that TTUHSC internal users and affiliates will take priority related to scheduling.

An external user is defined as any individual not affiliated with TTUHSC or does not have an MOU or contract.

Simulator-Based High Fidelity Experiences (per simulator):

  • Simulator used within Simulation Center (audio visual recording not included) $50/hour $350/day
  • Simulator used offsite $60/hour $420/day
    • Additional fees for travel, food, lodging, and sim staff support  (if applicable)
  • Simulator used for in-situ experience(s) $55/hour $385/day
  • Simulator used within classroom setting $55/hour $385/day

Standardized Patients/Participants-Based High Fidelity Experiences (per Standardized Patient):

  • Standardized Patients used within Simulation Center (audio visual recording not included) $45/hour
  • Standardized Patient used offsite $45/hour
    • Additional fees for travel, food, and lodging  (if applicable)
  • Standardized Patient for in-situ experience(s) $45/hour
  • Standardized Patient used within classroom setting $45/hour

Haptic Devices and Anatomage Table (per device):

  • Use of haptic devices within the Simulation Center (limited to use within the Simulation Center for trained users only) $55/hour $385/day

 Mid Fidelity (e.g. Vital Sim, EyeSi, OttoSim, MammaCare) (per device):

  • Mid Fidelity Simulator used within Simulation Center (audio visual record not included) $40/hour $280/day
  • Mid Fidelity Simulator used off site $50/hour $350/day
    • Additional fees for travel, food, and lodging  (if applicable)
  • Mid Fidelity Simulator used for in-situ experience(s) $45/hour $315/day
  • Mid Fidelity Simulator used within classroom setting $45/hour $315/day

Ultrasound (For education/training purposes, not for diagnostic purposes) (per ultrasound):

  • Ultrasound and ultrasoundable blocks within the Simulation Center  $40/hour $280/day
  • Ultrasound use within classroom setting $40/hour $280/day
  • Ultrasound use with compatible task trainer(s) $60/hour per trainer $420/day
  • Ultrasound used with Standardized Patient/Participant $75/hour

Additional fees will be determined based on the simulation experience (for example):

  • Staff Assistance - $45 per hour, per staff needed to operate simulators,or assist with simulation, and/or moulage prep time.
  • Audio visual recording
    • Manual recording. $25 per experience
    • Scheduled recording for summative assessment, OSCEs, or high-stakes exams that require pre-programming, announcements, and electronic  file storage/streaming $45 per experience
  • Cost of additional supplies, applicable consumables, and equipment will depend on requested experience(s).  
  • Fees not listed above may be negotiated with the Executive Director of the Simulation Program

 

 A 2 hour minimum duration is required.

 All space/rooms within the Simulation Centers will include clean gloves, sharps containers, and hand sanitizer.

 All cancellations must be made within 48 hours prior to the event. There will be a $25 charge on no shows or failure to cancel.
