IRB Training Requirements
iRIS Access
The Integrated Medical Research Information System (iRIS) is an electronic web-based research software system through which all IRB applications, reviews, and approvals are submitted. It is also used for communication between investigators and the IRB.
iRIS Accounts are set up manually AFTER the required training has been confirmed as completed. Requesting an iRIS account does not give you immediate access to iRIS - please allow 24-48 hours for the request to be reviewed and processed.
In order to be granted access to iRIS, all users must have successfully completed the CITI and COIC training requirements. Refer to the CITI Training page and/or the COIC Disclosure page for instructions and
links.
LOGGING IN TO IRIS
LOG IN TO iRIS Use your eRaider User ID and Password.
FYI: iRIS is synced with the TTUHSC eRaider system, so you will never need to reset your password within iRIS (only through the TTUHSC eRaider system).
(Outside Collaborators ONLY)
LOG IN TO iRIS Use your User ID and password.
(Your User ID was given to you when your iRIS account was initially set up - your
password was set up by you)
NOTE: If you have forgotten your User ID and/or your password, contact your IRB Education Coordinator.
iRIS ACCOUNT ACCESS
If you have an eRaider... CLICK HERE
then go to 'My Profile' (upper right corner) and select "Request New Account'.
If you do not have an eRaider... CLICK HERE
then click on the “Request New Account” link underneath the login area.
For EVERYONE requesting an iRIS Account...
enter the information listed below:
- Name - first and last
- Job title (drop down list)
- Primary contact number
- Email address (primary)
- Select the Department - this is based on the department ‘where you work’ (or are affiliated with as a student or Outside Collaborator), NOT based on where you will be doing the research.
- Request Purpose - this should be a detailed reason as to why you are requesting access to iRIS.
The iRIS Account request form also asks for User ID and Password (mandatory fields).
- WITH eRaider - use your User ID and password
- WITHOUT eRaider - enter 'n/a' in these fields
If you are having problems logging in to your iRIS account, chances are:
- You DO have an iRIS account, but it is expired or inactivate.
- You DO have an iRIS account, but cannot remember your iRIS User ID and/or password.
- You DO NOT have an iRIS account
- You submitted a request for an iRIS account, but it has not been processed yet
Please contact the IRB Education Coordinator for assistance.
