Office of Sponsored Programs
Management Resources for Sponsored Projects
Assists Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center faculty and staff in identifying funding opportunities, facilitating efforts to obtain external funding through grants and contracts, and the promotion of successful management of awarded projects.
Agreement Type and Who to Contact
Principal Investigators and TTUHSC personnel receive many types of agreements related to research and sponsored activity. Review the different types of agreements to help determine where to send them.
The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is responsible for the review and submission of grant proposals to external funding agencies for support that, if awarded, will result in the issuance of a grant, cooperative agreement or contract. The preparation of a well-organized, thoroughly reviewed proposal is critical to the successful submission of an application for funding. MORE
Fringe benefits are non-salary expenses, such as contributions to TTUHSC health and retirement plans, which TTUHSC must pay on behalf of employees. We are required to charge fringe benefits for all TTUHSC employees listed on a sponsored project budget. Fringe benefits are charged as a direct cost and calculated as a percentage of the employee salary.
Supports the scientific achievement of TTUHSC researchers through management of sponsored projects. Upon receipt of an award, Office of Sponsored Programs provides assistance and oversight, including budget set-up and project revisions. MORE
